Favorite thing: This was a phrase coined by one of my buddies on this trip and at some times almost was used as sort of a "battle cry.". If you do decide to go to Jaco with a group of friends, there is so much to see and do in Jaco that it might be a good possibility that you will find yourself splitting up and doing separate things, if not doing things on your own. Later on in the week, you might get wore out and just want to relax, nurse a hangover, etc. while some others might be energized and want to go to the beach, have a few drinks, get a beach massage, etc. No matter what the case my be, make sure you enjoy yourself and do what YOU want to do. But if you do, be prepared to get notes like this taped to your door. It reads:
"Slapper, I came on vacation to hang out with you. We are at the Marriott buffet. B (short for Bob)
There's always time to come together as a group. If you go with your best friends, like I did on this trip, you always make sure you get together at the bar for another night of fun.
Fondest memory: Fun with friends.

Favorite thing: The thing that I love most about Jaco is that it is big enough to have everything you could ever want in a tropical vacation, but is small enough that you'll never get lost. If you enjoy walking, there is nothing you can't reach in town without walking. And you have the option of either walking down the main street through downtown Jaco, or you can walk along a beautiful beach on your way to the same place.
The locals are extremely friendly, and will be more than happy to tell you how to get to wherever you need to go. Cabs are extremely cheap, and the nightlife is as good as it gets in a destination such as this.
Get yourself a few friends, whether you're a guy or a girl, and head down to Jaco. You're sure to have a relaxing, yet eventful and hysterical time.
Fondest memory: Phil's nice property and his hospitality. Oh, and Pollos Krispy and laughing and creating stories with my closest friends.

Fondest memory: to this gramophone is connected another good memory: while waiting for the post office of Jacó to open after the lunch break why not a meal in the nearby Roberto's restaurant... the place itself it's already distinctive and when I noticed the waiter tinkering with this old gramophone, I think he felt my look and brought it to the table to show it to me and operated the music with his fingers, as the pick-up head seemed broken :-)...

Fondest memory: definitely one of my best memories of Costa Rica: I was sitting on the seashore of Playa Esterillos Este and noticed some people climbing a coconut tree to get some of them and drink their juice, the man on the top of the ladder was really nimble as he actually had to climb the tree beacuse a the ladder was too short and I was so tempted to take him a pic, only they had big knives in their hands to cut the coconuts and I contented myself with admiring the scene and making the man on the top my compliments... a few moments after he was offering coconuts ready to be drunk to me...
they were probably workers of the nearby structure being built who thought of enjoying the juice of those cocos in that abondoned garden but this doesn't decrease the lovely kindness of their act at all...
