We rented a house on the beach, so needed food we could cook at home, mostly breakfasts and lunches, so found Ronny's #1 in Mal Pais served our needs for fresh vegetables, cheese, cokes, eggs and butter, and whatever else we wanted to eat at home. Easy layout and good prices.

Product C's is right near the crossroads at Playa Carmen in the little shop area close to the beach. They have fresh fish from the fishermen down the road for sale to take home for grilling if you happen to have a kitchen. They sometimes have cooked soups, ceviche and other goodies for sale as well.
What to buy: Ceviche, a raw fish salad "cooked" with lime juice and vinegar with other goodies thrown in for spicing up! Definitely recommended!

What to buy: the only real thing that is worth buying, is a hammock, the ones here are very good and comfy.
