Main street in Montezuma, Chicos on right

Favorite thing: This is a very tiny town but has many little restaurants and tourist shops where you can buy sandals, clothes (great skirts and shirts), handicrafts, hammocks, surfing and swimming gear, incense and other souvenir ammenities.

There is one main place in town for internet but it is infamously slow. There is no bank so make sure you come with enough cash and for any emergencies, many shops and travel agencies will accept credit cards.

There are several people along the main street that have tables where they sell various types of jewelery. Great just to stroll and talk to the people- spanish is ALWAYS more helpful even though the town has a big gringo presence.

Cabo Blanco

Favorite thing: Have also a look to my travelogue...

Also here I worked a few weeks as volunteer and I've to say its a great place!

This reserve was the initial step in the development of the country?s extensive national park system. The reserve lies at the boundries between tropical dry and tropical wet ecosystems and is known for its biodiversity in the forest as well as underwater. On you walk true the forest, following the 'sendero Sueco' you'll propably meet one of the many inhabitants such as anteaters, raccoons, coatis, monkeys, butterflies, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, ... and maybe you see in the far horizon a whale geting fresh air.

Directions:
Comming from the "mainland" you've to take the bus to Puntarenas where a boat leaves to Paquera. - The boat will pass james Bondie beaches - From Paquera a bus leaves to hippie-Montezuma where you can take another bus to the park.
