    Intimate restaurant located right on the beach with a sand floor. We had wonderful smoked cheese with shrimp for an appetiser, salad, bread, fillet mignon, and huge fresh fish that fed four, along with cocktails and a few beers for about $17/person!

    The service was amazing!

    Everything here was sooooo good! Apparently the menu changes daily depending on what is fresh

    Very good pizza made from fresh ingredients (as is everything in Costa Rica). We had a large pizza margarita and 4 beers for $12. They have a big TV that is usually tuned to a soccer game and there is also a internet cafe available in an air conditioned room in the back of the restaurant

    El Parque cafe is located right on the beach with a sand floor. We had some of the best guacamole with chips that I’ve ever had there followed with a meal of rice, beans, chicken, potatoes, and steamed vegetables all washed down with many cold cervezas all for about $14 for the two of us! At the restaurant we were approached by a stray skinny young cat that begged for some food. Naturally we couldn't resist and gave him some chicken. Then another one came so we gave him some meat as well and before we knew it there were four of them all meowing and jockeying for position to get some hand outs.

    Guacamole and chips are excellent! The casados are pretty good too!

  • There is a supermarket on the main road leading downtown and perpendicular to the main drag where Chico's is. It offers a good selection of all the food and alcohol you may need. We got supplies for a big dinner and breakfast (plus leftovers) and a good night of drinking for about $5 a person. Staying at Luna Llena, you have your own kitchen facilities and can save a lot of money by cooking yourself.

    Wery nice atmosphere right by the beach with very firendly and accomidating staff. There is a small bar also but it dosen't seem to be the type of bar where people hang out.

    Also extremely reasonable prices!

    The pineapple chicken is really good!

  • This resturant has good crepes. I had a banana and Nutella crepe for breakfast. The mago shake is pretty good also.

  • The Sano Banano has a good variety of food all day long although the prices are pretty expensive. If you want a more laid back night (still hungover from the previous night's festivities?), they show movies here on a regularly basis starting around 7 pm. You have to make a 3000 colones purchase to watch the movie so combine it with a later supper and enjoy the show.

  • When I researched places to eat in Montezuma this was the most widely talked about restaurant.
    The location is perfect and this may the be #1 reason it attracts so many people, but I found that the food was a little overpriced as well as that the restaurant had a bit of a gringo feel to it..... I guess it looked too much like a over the top sports bar kind of place that you would see around here.
    Didn't really care to sit down for dinner, but I heard food was good.

  • Instead of the standard synthetic maple syrup, they serve a delicious and light orange syrup with their French toast. Not too sweet and not too tart. Excellent.

  • Hotel Moctezuma has wonderful ambiance. We were only feet away from the Pacific. The breeze and scenery made for a wonderful meal.

    I had the chicken curry which was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. My husband had beef in a blue cheese sauce that was just as good. The service was also great. I would eat there again in a heartbeat.
