A casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. I honestly don't remember the food, although I remember that we enjoyed it. This place is all about the atmosphere. The restaurant is perched on the edge of the hotel, overlooking the jungle and the ocean. It was pouring rain the night we were there, and it was beautiful. Not bad for an afternoon beer and a snack as well. Live music while you dine is an added bonus.
Favorite Dish: They advertise a menu of Tico and Tex-Mex.

The food there was nothing spectacular. Typical cafe food (muffins, eggs, bagels). However, the frozen drinks like Mono Loco and Quepoccino were great. One thing I did not appreciate was the snotty and unhelpful service. I guess Cafe Milagros is becoming more and more commercialized. :-(
Favorite Dish: Mono Loco and Quepoccino.

Juan, the owner is very accommodating. The seafood is done very well. We had the tuna sashimi which was very fresh. The guitarist and singer is very soothing. Definitely have to go there if you are in the Manuel Antonio Area.
Favorite Dish: tuna sashimi, tres leche, house specials

"Cassado" is the staple. However, Soda Coma Bien is the place for the more traditional food. The ladies are very nice and helpful. This soda (diner) on the east side of the Quepos bus station serves delicious foods like Olla de carne (Beef soup w/rice), Mondongo (Beef tripe) and Pollo Consumme (Chicken and Vegetable soup with rice). The empanadas were great. The tamarindo drink is as local as you can get. Get there early because the good dishes sell out fast.
Favorite Dish: Olla De Carne, Mondongo, and empanadas

At least for breakfast there is a wide choice and don't think that fruit with yoghurt is something to add, it's a whole breakfast itself so I had a sort of double breakfast as I ordered after a huevo revuelto, which doesn't come alone...

this parrilla (steakhouse) serves meat in "big" portions and the waiters were extra friendly.
they have also an internet sevice and when later on I was back to play with it, they were not strict at all with the minutes I had exceeded (you pay for each half an hour).
Favorite Dish: a quarter of a chicken, grilled and served with sauces, is huge and if you are a chocolate lover, don't miss their big, yummy mousse...

I had breakfast here, on the way from Jaco (where I had overnighted and exactly at about 40 km from it) to Manuel Antonio, in a little town called Parrita: the place is less Central American in the style - as I normally plunge into the most local places I can find ;-) - but not in the food, good and at a very reasonable price.
