Favorite thing: The scarlet macaws are beautiful yellow-red-blue coloured big parrots and measure around 85 cm (33 inch). There are only about 500 left in Costa Rica of which about 100 can be found in Carara NP.
Fondest memory: We saw about 30 of those big parrots, all together gathered in some trees. If they are around, you can't miss them because they make a lot of noise. We were so happy because this was the purpose of our trip to this national park.
