At the west end of downtown is a huge wooded park, La Sabana, that was the original airport for San Jose. It has since been converted into a series of athletic parks with a soccer stadium in the north-west corner. The park is ideal for running, walking, sports or picnicking. I went white water rafting on the Pacuare river.

they have the tallest,fastest zip line so far.
Your strapped in and glide on steel cables from one side to the other side.
The cables are about tree height from 50 yards or more.

On my 3rd Visit to Costa Rica. I took the Arenal volcano Baldi hotsprings tour.
Baldi hotsprings seem a little larger and not as crowded at Tobacon excuse my spelling.
Baldi was a little cheaper but we did not eat at Baldi they took us somewhere else with a view of Arenal. The food was OK and the Coffee was Great.
They closed off the slide into the hotsprings and saw guys -construction workers building,maintaining the water park. They were also girl watching another sport i like.
They have a couple of swimup bars that serve food and drinks with views of Arenal.
Also have outdoor massage table area for a price $$$. I dont know how much.
for a deposit you can rent towells,lockers.

We drove Yamaha Fourtrax ATV. We wore helmets and followed the guide around dirt packed and gravel trails.
The guide picked us up from our hotel in San Jose in a 4 wheel drive van and drove us up the mountain. After a couple of hours we returned and had lunch and drove around somemore.
We brought our cameras and took pics during our short rest stops along the trail.
$ 85 dollars for- Pick up,ATV tour and lunch. Leave a Comment
