In Costa Rica the people are'nt dangerous but take care of snake and scorpion. You may be rob by monkeys or aras in national parks

Eyes on the road
In Monteverde, cows were everywhere. I supposed this town is the capital of cows. When driving keep your eyes on the road and watch out for the crossing cows.
Don't drive if you have flat spare tire, because it won't take you to your final destination. Unless, someone is kind enough to give you a lift.
They aren't kidding when they...
They aren't kidding when they suggest a 4 x 4 car! The roads are pretty awful and even the better ones have colorful traffic jams caused by animals wandering in the road!

We had to laugh at the size of the potholes in the roads. Probably no danger to you, but maybe to the alignment of your poor rental car. And you're going to have that thing for a week!
