Palacio Ferrer, Cienfuegos

In this building the Casa Provincial is housed and has a tower from which you can take great pictures from the city. In this building you will find the Casa Provincial de la Cultura. It is build at the beginning of the 20th century. This is a good place to find out if there are any interesting art exhibits or concerts going on while you're in town.

Cienfuegos - Plaza Marti - a lovely central place in this town.The statues of lions,the restored buildings and definately the cathedral is a reflection of the atmosphere .

Nightlife and restaurants are centralized here.
From the Jagua Hotel, only 15 minutes away -drivers will bring you to this spot - scratching the Caribbean Sea !!

It was my sincere intention to climb up all the way on top of the belvedere to take the best pictures ever but...half way up the wind started blowing, my knees bucled, I tenderly grabbed the spiral staircase and hold on to it for my dear life. And this is how I figured that I developed fear of heights! Took me a while to crawl back to the stability of the roof!!

Across from the Cathedral there is...well, was Palacio Ferrer. I mean the building is still there - sort of if you consider how destroyed everything is in there.
It is called Casa de Cultura now but there's not much of culture in it !
To start with there was no sign, no information and it took me a while to find the right doors to get in - my plan was to get to the belvedere to view the city.

Roof wasn't a bad idea for a short break and few more pictures !

Further up wasn't any better : a group of young pioneers was rehearsing songs among those ruins.
