Palacio de los Marqueses de Aguas Claras
In 1900 it housed a Paris restaurant and afterwards it changed into ofiices of an industrial Bank
Now a days it became a restaurant again
Favorite Dish:
Scampis - green salads - porc meat - but a delicious apéritif - Mojito or a strong local beer called Bucaneer - but the servants did not know we where from Belgium - a country with a great tradition of really strong beers
A northwest view of Plaza de la Catedral. On the west side of the square (photo left) is the Casa de los Marqueses de Aguas Claras, which now houses the Restaurante La Fuente del Patio. You can sit inside of outside under the umbrellas and enjoy a nice cool beer or sip on a mojito and watch the never ending change of people in the plaza. There is always a live band playing and nothing is finer than having a cerveza frio, sandwich cubano and listening to some hot cuban jazz.
Favorite Dish:
I enjoy their Sandwich Cubano. A mixture of ham, cheese, pork and/or chicken.
