NO WALKIE TALKIES!!!!
A lot of parents tend to take this device with them so that they can have their kids run around and keep track of where they are at all times.... WELL, as of June 2002, you are no longer allowed to bring walkie talkies into Cuba, or they will be taken away at customs.
Keep your video camera handy when leaving Cuba, at customs they will most likely ask you to take a look at it. ....and please avoid labels on your videos such as 'Revolution', 'Cuban Cops', 'Poverty', 'Communism'...use common sense
Beach slippers...the sand is very hot!

As much as you can to give away. Get from friends and family if you have to. Some do not even have shoes.
For the children bring toys and candy, shoes and clothes. Remember they share with their familys and do not keep all for themselves. They are the best people I have met so far. If only you and I could be happy with so little.

Just good trainers, slippers and one pair of nice shoes will do. Light cotton clothes and your swimminggear. And when you have it bring you snorklinggear aswell!!
Bring as much medication as you can. When you do not need it, give it to a local doctor on your last day. Also bring a lot of anti-muquito!!!
Bring all you have. I have made 200 pictures and 3 hours of film in 1999 and i made 240 pictures ( and got 250 of my friends so that makes 500 pictures) and 3 1/2 hours of film in 2000! Also bring an aqua-camara if you are going to the dolphins or go snorkling.
Just take two bikini's and one bathingsuite. You can change every other day!
If there is a lot of rain (there was in 1999) you will need a gameboy or a very good book. The entertainment will keep you busy but when you are not feeling like BINGO, you can enjoy yourselve.

Strange i know but the cubans have a lot of trouble getting them and have to wear them in the hotels.
Tampax Sanitary towels if you've never been caught out let me tell you its a nightmare trying to buy these items.
