We noticed that a swim with dolphins excursion is available in Holguin. While it would be exciting to be with dolphins, we did not do this trip.

The people that care for the dolphins probably treat them very well and love them very much. Unfortunately, dolphins are complex animals that enjoy being in groups; they do not get to go home at the end of the day. The other reason we forewent this trip is because despite the love for the animals, it is often the case that with so many people touching the dolphins, some attempting to grab or touch them as they swim by, dolphins inadvertently get scratched and cut by fingernails, jewelry, etc.

If you do decide to go on this trip please be mindful of your touch; remove any jewelry and consider trimming long fingernails.

Swimming with the dolphins just had to be the best day of my life. These little guys are so special. The always look like if they're smiling and they love to play. They reminded me of my dog a bit. My 20 mins experience with them was awesome and well worth the price I payed. After the swimming, I also had the best seafood lunch ever. It was great and I also assisted to a dolphin and seal show. They are wonderful animals.

Quelle expérience formidable... Les dauphins sont si gros...et si doux ! J'avais vraiment très hâte de me retrouver dans l'eau avec eux et je ne fut pas déçu ! Ma plus grande surprise a été de voir à quel point se sont des animaux joueurs. Ils adorent jouer avec nous lorsque nous sommes dans l’eau avec eux…et même après.

There is a lot to do overthere but what you HAVE to do is swimming with the dolphins. Really, really nice. I had the best time of my live. The animals are free and enjoy what they are doing.
you can play with them for 15 minutes and after that you learn how they can kiss you, swimm on their fins and they put there nose under your feet so you can stand on them...really NICE!

Well here is an other picture of the dolphins. When you go to the Aquarium there is also a sealionshow, you can be kisses by a big, old, grupmy sealion (for 3 dollars) and there is a dolphinshow.
Its a nice show and you have to be ready for making a picture.
They people who are playing and learning the dolphins are real nice to them.

When visiting Holguin you absolutly MUST swim with the dolphins. It is an unforgetable experience.
Horseback riding is also cheap in the area.
about 5$/ hour.
