Well, best way to visit the city is walking. You can buy one of those sighseing bus tour but you will enjoy walking and knowing normal life in Habana.
I got into a on-offical taxi, like the old amercian ones!!!
Favorite thing: I have read lots of books of cuban writers talking about the Malecon. This is the beginnig of the Malecon, next to the Prado, and to the spanish ambassy.
Favorite thing: This pic was taken in the malecon, next to our hotel with two friends from Uni. (Eastet vacation 2002)
Favorite thing: Although it seems a dangerous place to walk, there is enough police arounf the city, and local people are afraid of not treating well tourists. There is a polieman in each cuadra ( each square). At night there is not light in the streets, only in the main Avenues, but...I love to walk around the city, smelling the car fuel and listening to the people playing, dancing and laughing.
