    We found this place south of the market area in Varadero. For $10 CP, we had 2 beers and 2 cigars made right before our eyes. Good cigars too. The cigar rolling man was friendly and had a good time there. He’ll make any size of cigar for you too. Sorry, can’t remember the name of the place, so you’ll just have to venture around to find it on the main strip. They sell other cigars there also, and they are cheaper than at the hotel.

  • Cuba and Cigars, the minute you arrive at the airport in Varadero, they give everybody this booklet about buying cigars there, and how it has to be orignal stamp on box with the bill of purchase, a bunch of BLA, BLA ,BLA and how they can ask for it when you leave back from there, well news flash THEY DON'T ask at all about any proof of purchase at all I even asked people that came there the last 5 yrs a whole group of them no one ever was asked anything about it.YOU are allowed 50 cigars per person to bring back. There is a SCAM going on there with the Cigars, that they say do not buy cigars on the street , because from time to time if you walk downtown people well come up to you and ask you to buy from them , GUESS WHAT? I bought from them and LOOK, TASTE , AND SMELL is the same as the one you buy at the hotel, I compared them both even with experts smokers , blind taste, no one could tell the difference, People at hotel and around will tell you not to buy because it bad quality and they will even say that it made with bannana leaves. Spare me the ***!! HOTELS WANT TO MAKE THE MONEY OR THE STORES THEMSELVES, so they will tell you anything in order for them to make you buy from them." IT'S ALL MARKETING, SO DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE"

    Don't buy cigars from "the good fellows" who are trying to sell it to you . They are not genuine. You will say maybe that they are 10 times cheaper than those in the store but they are not respecting the genuine cuban fabrication process. Choose Casa del Habano. It's right on the main street in Varadero

  • Never buy off the street if you want the Cohiba or Monte Cristo you are buying to really be made by Cohiba or Monte Cristo. I found Monte Cristo No 4 to be a good relaxing smoke. large enough for it to feel like a cigar, smooth, and it doesn't last too long like an esplentito or vegeros would. At about 100 CUCs, it's a very good deal for what you're getting as well.

    When you walk on the mainstreet in Varadero you will find this place. It´s a cigarshop and outside this man is sitting making fresh cigars for you to smoke. You can´t go to Cuba without trying a cuban cigar :o)
