I found Monte Cristo No 4 to be a good relaxing smoke. large enough for it to feel like a cigar, smooth, and it doesn't last too long like an esplentito or vegeros would. At about 100 CUCs, it's a very good deal for what you're getting as well.

Cuba and Cigars, the minute you arrive at the airport in Varadero, they give everybody this booklet about buying cigars there, and how it has to be orignal stamp on box with the bill of purchase, a bunch of BLA, BLA ,BLA and how they can ask for it when you leave back from there, well news flash THEY DON'T ask at all about any proof of purchase at all I even asked people that came there the last 5 yrs a whole group of them no one ever was asked anything about it.YOU are allowed 50 cigars per person to bring back.

There is a SCAM going on there with the Cigars, that they say do not buy cigars on the street , because from time to time if you walk downtown people well come up to you and ask you to buy from them , GUESS WHAT? I bought from them and LOOK, TASTE , AND SMELL is the same as the one you buy at the hotel, I compared them both even with experts smokers , blind taste, no one could tell the difference,
People at hotel and around will tell you not to buy because it bad quality and they will even say that it
made with bannana leaves. Spare me the ***!! HOTELS WANT TO MAKE THE MONEY OR THE STORES THEMSELVES, so they will tell you anything in order for them to make you buy from them." IT'S ALL MARKETING, SO DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE"
