We did take time out to go horse back riding through fields fields of green on two wild horse by ourselves. Let me tell you that was interesting as there was a stalion tied in one of the fields and my sister was on a mare so it was quite entertaining for me.
This picture is where our journy began, we didn't get any pictures while on horsebach because there was no way either one of us was letting go.
When I'm far away Pinar del Río and Viñales I miss el Mirador del Hotel Los Jazmines. There you'll see a wonderful view of 'mogotes': small hills one of the oldest in Cuba (Jurassic Time!). This hills if you have a little of imagination can represent different shapes: animals (elephants in most of cases... are really big!) Of course you can see the magnificient Royal Palm.
THESE ARE THE MOGOTES.
Stay in the town of Viñales for a few days and walk around the town by yourself or take your backpack and go into the countryside. Meet some farmers, visit the tobacco fields, sleep under the stars and enjoy the tranquility of being away from civilization, noise and pollution.
Going west you’ll find new and beautiful things. Sun bathe, snorkle or dive in the coral reef of Maria la Gorda Beach for example or visit Rovania’s tobacco fields where U have the possibility of having a nice day chatting with Rovaina while smoking a cigar and having coffee made fresh by Rovainas wife. If you are travelling by car, drive out to the most western point of the Island, Cabo de San Antonio.
We spent most of the day with a family who lived in house made of ply wood and a thatch roof, no electricity or running water.
