Swimming at a Hotel and you stay in a guesthouse

  • Book a room at the Cuban guesthouses and if you want to have a swim, just take an half hour walk up to Los Herminez (hotel) and pay 1 us$ to have a nice swim in their swimming pool. Maybe you can stay and watch the sunset over the Morgotes before going back to your guesthouse and into the local pubs.

Coconuts trees can also be seen in the little gardens of the Vinales valley: these huge young coconuts were growing on a really small tree.

Coffee is grown in the Vinales valley and we saw some plants with green beans on the hike. Coming from Hungary, it was an experience.

I've seen many banana plantations in Cuba and there were banana trees in the Vinales valley as well. I love them, they are so exotic.
