Paladars, Santiago de Cuba

One of my favorite restaurants in Santiago is La Cocinita. Cheap and delicious fried chicken and plantain meals for about $2 USD. Don't freak out when you see the menu the prices are in pesos. I don't know what the Cubans fry their food in but it sure tastes good! Be forewarned...the washroom is quite disgusting, but useable.
This restaurant allows both Cubanos and touristos so be aware of some hustlers in the entrance.

My favorite paladare in Santiago. Although I believe there are only two remaining open these days.

Favorite Dish: Awesome mutton, salad, beans and plantain. Huge portions for $7USD. Friendly but a little hard to find behind the cathedral. Ignore the many jineteros loitering outside the door waiting to take you in or it will cost you more!
