Cheap and memorable items are found along boca chica beach. You can haggle too. I turned a 150 peso painting into a 90 peso deal. It's fun to haggle and most will allow it. If you come across an art/painting shop check if its done by 3 haitian guys, one named Evan. These guys are amazing artists and really cheap too. They are so friendly and have a true talent. I recommend getting one of their pieces, not only because its good but also to support them, my now friends. They do this artwork for a living, they don't have any other income so deff. try to find these guys!
Just do it. It's a lot of fun but the waves were semi harsh when we tried it and we were knocked off a few times. But it was fun because we had life jackets and the water is so warm and clear. Other members of our group tried it later and didn't run into any problems involving the waves and flying off the banana boat. It's a chance worth taking because either way it's a lot of fun.
The biggest attraction in Boca Chica is the beach. That’s why each hotel offers an array of water sports and beach activities to keep you occupied. You won’t find much high culture here – there are no theaters, galleries or movie houses. Fortunately, the big hotels have their own evening shows and discos and there are many public discos throughout the town. Plus the Hamaca Hotel has a casino open to the public. Most visitors to Boca Chica spend their days either on the beach or going on excursions to see the rest of the country.
