I don't know how to classify this restaurant, as it is meant to be like a bit of Spain in the capital of the Dominican Republic. The restaurant is in a historic and fitting setting - the Plaza España, just across from the Alcazar Colón, and its distinguished by its large Spanish flag and faux Navarran façade. Watch out for the hanging prosciutti!

Favorite Dish: The food they serve here is pretty much standard tapas fare, replete with plenty of good-quality cured ham.

Museo de Jamon: the Ham Museum

This was a strange little find close to Colombus's house on the square. In English it would be called teh Ham Museum. Inside they serve beer and snacks (with ham of course!!) and hanging from the ceiling area myriad of Proscutto' (I know the spelling is bad...). A fun little place
