Airports, Santo Domingo

I paid to have VIP Travel Services transport me from SDQ airport to Santo Domingo (Colonial District) but when I arrived no one from VIP was there. I was told it happens often. I had to take a taxi to my hotel. If you use VIP, plan for taxi fare just in case they do not show up.

Las Américas airport is the biggest airport in the country and a lot of major airlines from Europe and North America fly here:

From Europe:

- Air France
- Condor

From North America:
- American Airlines
- United Airways
- Air Canada
- Jet Blue
- Delta

From Central and South America and the Caribbean:
- Aeropostal
- Aserca Airlines
- Copa
- Cubana de Aviación
- Air Caraibes
- Caribair

There's another airport called La Isabela, which will be a domestic airport and will replace the old Herrera airport.

This is the International Airport of the Americas. The picture shows you the parking area, in front of the airport. It gets a little hectic (like all airports).
