    A paradisiac place located 1,5 kms east of Cabarete behind Rio San Juan. Very clear and fresh water, jump in !

  • Directions: You'll see big signs for the area on the right side of the main road. Turn in here and stop a the small restaurant to get the key (and may be eat, food is excellent there).

    The sand is white and the water is quiet (almost no wave) and not very deep so that you can swim quite far away. Last but not least, you are alone on the beach !! Just enjoy the tranquility and the paradisiac landscape.

    Not far from Rio San Juan and Playa Grande, a wonderful beach : playa Preciosa. Just stop there and have a look, it worths it. You won't find anybody on that beach, it's paradise on earth.

  • There are many cliffs to jump off of in this Lagune. There is a tree one can dive off of and different places around the edges. Nearby there are caves u can explore.

  • We took a guagua from Sosùa to Río San Júan (for 45 pesos). There a motor boat took us through the mangroves and the crystal-clear waters of the Gri-Gri Lagoon where we could see lots of see birds. You go then to the cave of the swallows, afterwards we took a swim in the natural pool and then went to the playa Caleton.

    Take a boat trip in the Laguna Gri Gri and its mangrove forests. During this trip you'll see caves and be able to swim in a natural pool, "La Piscina", a crystal clear ocean cove.

    Sometimes the boat stops on a small beach and lets you spend some time there to swim and sunbathe.

    A nice little tour to watch nature, birds and relax...
