    Nights at the resort might be animated, and suit all preferences. The options are: . the bar, where you can listen to music and have some nice drinks . the casino for those who like gambling or enjoy that kind of place; notice that in the case of the casino, the All Inclusive contemplates the entrance on the casino, only. . the disco, to enjoy the music and dance till late night.

    Men should avoid wearing shorts.

    . obviously in a all inclusive resort ther are no such thing as nightlife tip. the resort itself ,narrows it down, being "closed" in such facility. go to a bar watch evening animation a stroll by the beach. that's all.

  • Mangu is located in the Flamigo Hotel. It is the largest and most Americanized club around. Everyone from the area goes here because unlike many other islands it is not safe for tourists to party in the closed town - which is not really close at all! Mangu is two floors and plays primarily hip hop, R&b and DR music in the main floor - and some good house (weekends only) on the second floor. People of all ages attend! your 3$SUD cover charge includes a free drink - BUT KEEP AN EYE on your ticket, some trashy girl tried to steal mine!

    Go to see the show of Caribbean dancing. Dancers wear beautiful dresses. Especially women. So tourists (...men) can take an eyeful... At the Barcelō Bāvaro, which is the biggest resort of Punta Cana, there is also a casino, if you want to try your luck.

    Also when you are waiting to go to diner they make sure you are amusud. This band is playing their songs in the lobby. They come into the restaurant when you are having your diner. And when there is a birthday or something like that, they come over to your table.

    We stayed at the hotel in the night. There is so much to see and do that you just can stay. The animation team is giving (most of the days) a good show with lots of dance and music. Or you can walk to an other hotel of Rui (Palace, Taino, Melao or Naiboa) And see what they got to offer. In Riu Palace you can go to a casino. But the drinks are for free too, cause they are all all inclusive.

    Riu Palace prefers more nice clothes then the others.

    In the evenings there is also a market. Not every day but on thursdays and sundays. You can buy lots of stuff (see my travelogue called SOUVENIRS). This guy was selling cigars. We bought 2 boxes. One for us and one for Michelle and Garry.

  • Punta Cana is relatively quiet as far as night life is concerned and this is one of a few nightclubs that has a good mix of locals and tourists and which is always lively. The club has two floors- first floor has Latin music and the upper floor more electronic/house/techno type rhythms. Everyone is dancing, there are several animators to liven things up and the club is gay friendly. Price is $5US/couple to get in and drinks are around $4-5 US each. Cover includes one free drink per person.

    You should step the dress up a little. Women and men tend to be dressed nicer here but no need to go all out.

  • Directions: Hire a taxi; the price will depend on your resort's proximity to the club. We were at the Punta Cana Grand. The taxi-vans take a max of 10 people and we paid $30 US each way; the price could go as low as $18US each way with only 4 passengers or so.

    Not only the entertainment of the hotel gave shows but also other people. This group is from Santa Domingo and they had a real good show about all the dances of the Dominican. Changing clothes quicker then i can put the words here....
