    Dancing on the roof......allowed

Pretty much the ONLY place to party in Punta Cana......just ask anybody. It's located at the occidental resort and isn't a far taxi ride away from other resorts. Don't pay more than $15 for a 10 minute taxi ride with around 4 people.

The club is PACKED every day of the week and has two levels. The first level plays mostly merengue with some hip hop. The top floor was all techno. The top floor was crazy......half naked men on roller blades might tackle you to the floor and plant a wet one on you.......pick you up and dip you to the floor or wrap you and ur partner in a huge roll of paper while you dance.

Drinks are expensive, so drink at your hotel ahead of time if you don't want to spend more money. Entrance is only $8.....don't fall for people telling you it's more!

It's open until the sun comes up, so prepare yourself for an all-night party experience!

    Mangu: Punta Cana Nightlife

Punta Cana is relatively quiet as far as night life is concerned and this is one of a few nightclubs that has a good mix of locals and tourists and which is always lively. The club has two floors- first floor has Latin music and the upper floor more electronic/house/techno type rhythms. Everyone is dancing, there are several animators to liven things up and the club is gay friendly.
Price is $5US/couple to get in and drinks are around $4-5 US each. Cover includes one free drink per person.

Dress Code: You should step the dress up a little. Women and men tend to be dressed nicer here but no need to go all out.

This is definitely one of the best spots on the island for nightlife. This club is located at the Occidental Grand Flamenco Resort. They are open 7 days a week from 10pm til sunlight. Plenty of people and plenty of good music.

The downstairs area was packed and playing dance music while the upstairs was also busy playing trance/dance/house music.

I'd definitely go back there again.

This club is also open to the general public.

Dress Code: No visible dress code.

    Preferably dress pants for men.

    mangu: Good Times - mangu

by platiinum Written Jul 12, 2005 9 reviews

Awesome time. i was staying at Allegro and went here twice during my stay. From Allegro it was a 20 minute drive (costing 25$ howver you can argue with the driver to bring it down). Two floors, first floor plays hip hop/reggae and the second floor plays trance. Upstairs is pretty crazy, with swings and a stages, transvestites and dressed up gay men[had the pleasure of dancing with one; on ROLLERBLADES]. Drinks are 5$; entrance is free with a resort bracelet. good times, check it out.
WARNING: ladies make bathroom buddies, don't go by yourself.. the bathrooms are at the end of a long hall, where losers tend to prey. i got groped enuff times..

Dress Code: Everyone was dressed down.. carrabien style

Mangu is located in the Flamigo Hotel.
It is the largest and most Americanized club around. Everyone from the area goes here because unlike many other islands it is not safe for tourists to party in the closed town - which is not really close at all!
Mangu is two floors and plays primarily hip hop, R&b and DR music in the main floor - and some good house (weekends only) on the second floor.
    People of all ages attend!

your 3$SUD cover charge includes a free drink - BUT KEEP AN EYE on your ticket, some trashy girl tried to steal mine!

    Dress Code: anything goes!
