The taxi fares are pre-set and available for viewing at the airport in Punta Cana. The resort area is about a half hour away from the airport. I think it was about $25-$30 to the resort. There were lots of taxis available.

Taxi's have set zone rates. You can easily find out the cost of going from one location to another by inquiring at the front desk of the hotel. All the taxi's should have the same rate. If not, find another taxi.

If you want to go around you can take a taxi asking at the reception or going to the entrance of your hotel. There is some which are waiting at all times. You can also take a gua-gua, small buses that run through the coastal road all the day.
