 | Boca Chica Restaurants | Tips 1 - 1 of 1 | | Popular Restaurants | Other Restaurants Tips | All Tips (1) We stopped here in our return trip to Santo Domingo from Bayahibe. Our Dominican friend was keeping well this “secret” until the last moment. This was the most luxurious place we enjoyed on our trip, and one on the nicest restaurants I’ve ever been (and I’ve been to many, from all price ranges!). The place does not seem so special from outside, but once you enter… WOW!! Beautiful decoration with old looking colonial-style furniture, lamps made with marine shells hanging from the palm roof, chill out music…all to crete a relaxing, romantic, “zen” atmosphere. But the best part was the huge terrace, situated directly on the shore overlooking the beautiful bay of Boca Chica. There were two old Thai beds, where you can eat, just over the water, seeing the marine creatures swimming below you. You can even jump to the sea to refresh you! We had a delicious chocolate ice-cream, swam a little and later had a coffee to temperate while enjoying the sunset. When we left, some people were starting to dinner (too early for our Spanish standards), the food looked delicious and the prices were not so high you can expect for a place like this. Reservations are recommended for dinner. I strongly recommend you this place, better around the sunset as we did, or to have a romantic dinner.
