    a small charming "villa" with some interesting points, if not, for it story and why and how it was built in the midle seventies.
    in the end a nice visit to have in dominican republic.

    The performing arts are showcased in the village's 5,000-seat amphitheater, inaugurated in 1982 by Frank Sinatra and is still attracting big name performers.and the day i was there i did saw propaganda refering to an upcoming concert from bob marley son and the wailers.

    from punta cana to chavon arriba a two hours bus ride. that old bus in the pic took us safely, ( uff ! ) throu' narrow and somehow off the beatten path, of la romana province in d.r.

    Visitors today discover craft workshops, artists' studios, galleries and restaurants.shops are of course about their local handycraft, paintings, woden statues,etc.even a litle groserie were you can buy refreshments to face the eat in that hot place.

    Weddings are frequent at the St. Stanislaus Church, as few places can be more romantic than Altos de Chavon.
    sure a exotic and lovely place to take that "final"step in ones live.
