DIRECTIONS TO BONAO
From Santo Domingo Airport
Cheap way: for the adventurous ones, walk outside the terminal, ignore the annoying taxi hustlers, turn right and head for the highway (about 1.5 miles). Cross the highway on the overpass and stand beside it. You can flag down any medium sized but that will take you to Santo Domingo (about 20 min) for 35 pesos.
Tell the driver to let you off at the Parque Enriquillo. When you get out of the bus ask for the Espinal bus terminal. Get a ticket for Bonao (70 pesos) and hop on, it should take about 1 hour to get to Bonao.
From Santiago Airport:
Cheap way: Walk out of the airport avoiding all the annoying cab drivers and walk to the highway (auto pista Duarte). Cross the highway (cautiously), and then flag down any bus or car that will stop for you and tell them you are going to Bonao. This should cost you 50 pesos.
From Puerto Plata Airport
Cheap way:
When you get out of the airport walk across the car park (avoiding the annoying cab drivers) and make your way to the highway (about ? a mile). When you get to the highway (stay on the airport side of the highway) flag a car or mini bus down that and tell them you are going to Caribe tours bus terminal (this will cost you 15 pesos). At Caribe tours the buses leave every hour for Santiago. When you get to Santiago turn right and head for the McDonalds. Before you get to the overpass you will come to a large parking lot. Ask anyone you see where the Gua Gua?s are that go to Bonao, they are in this parking lot. Hop in one of these mini buses (50 pesos) and in about an hour you will be in Bonao.
When you get to Bonao, hop on a Moto Concho to Los Quemados (35 pesos). Rancho Wendy is on the left hand side of the road in Los Quemados.
