Los Siete Hermanos are seven uninhabited islands in the Parque Nacional Monte Cristi. "Los Siete Hermanos" means the Seven Brothers and the names of the islands are: ’Arenas’, ’Terrero’, ’Monte Grande’, ’Raton’, ’Muertos’, ’Monte Chico’ and ’Tururú’.

I have visited the islands three times (in 2004, 2006 and 2008) on boat trips with local fishermen from Manzanillo, and it is a great place to fish, swim and snorkel. Some of the islands are absolutely stunning with nice beaches and clear blue water.

Puerta Cristal is a small seaside restaurant - located just outside Manzanillo. This is a really nice place to have something to eat or a beer.

I especially enjoy just to sit and watch the very beautiful view of the Bay of Manzanillo from the terrace of the restaurant.

The food is typical local Dominican food.
