If you're looking for authentic Dominican fare, portions that will leave you full and satisfied and cheap prices and don't care about the way the restaurant looks, then you've come to the right place.

Comedor Tinita has been around for a few years now and caters most to the workers of the salt mine but word spread around and now people going to the beach see it as a "mandatory stop". This is a house of wood with a zinc roof, several wooden tables with table cloths and plastic chairs.

Tinita's specialty is fish - that they fish from the same beach you've bathed at, but she also has chicken, pork and beef. She usually has 2 fish of the day plus chicken, pork and beef dishes of the day.

Favorite Dish: When we were there, we ordered 2 colorao fish, 2 sliced carite fish, one beef stewed with tostones (fried plantains), rice, beans and salad, plus a 2.5 l of Coca Cola to share between 5 people. We ate, ate and ate and half the food was left (that we took to go). Our total bill was 1650 pesos, about 45.83 US.
