the plaintains are served fried, like big crisp but soft (like a mushroom?) potato chips. locals told me to sprinkle them with salt before eating them. the potassium and sodium after a day in the sun was probably very good for me.

We went to a place called Playa Grande. And we had they nicest food ever....a bbq by big mama.
