Pack light and take toiletries

by toontown

In addition to one big suit bag with lots of pockets and a small suitcase, we always bring along a hockey bag for hauling extra pillows and our snorkeling gear. Toiletries go in the small case or in carry-on. It is also useful to have a small canvas beach bag folded in your luggage and a money belt. Not many clothese are really needed here. A couple of swimsuits, hat, cover-up, shorts, t-shirts or tanks for day, and a couple or three dresses for evening and long pants and a couple of golf shirts for the men. Comfortable but chic sandals (for beach or dinner) and a pair of running shoes (for adventuring) are all the necessary footwear. I took one cotton sweater which I only wore on the plane and a cotton jacket that I never wore. Fold-up umbrellas are a good idea since it can really rain hard, but it's not cold rain. Take all the tolietries and medecine you think you might need since...

There is a lot you can do on this island. So take some good shoes with you and a lot of cotton clothes. Make sure you have some sunbathing things with you. Resort That it with you but i do not think you will need anything. The food is fresh when you are staying in a hotel, if you are not in a hotel, make sure you do all the that you have to take care of before eating anything. Take all you have.....and also take a watercamera. When you have to buy a watercamera you will have to pay a lot more then you do in your homeland. Good shoes and light clothes. Make sure you take a sweater but if you need it is something else, but when you are going with a jeep or you go into the jungle you will need sleaves againt the musquitoos. Snorklinggear and maybe your horsebackridinggear.

Do not bring liquid in your carry-on!

Anything summery, and your bikini. It's hot! The Dominican custom does not allow tourist to bring any liquids in their carry-ons. So please pack that "Brugal" rum in your check-in luggage.
