Snorkel off the beach
  • Tip Rating:
  • I was only at Sosua for one day, but I had a great time snorkeling here. Although I have only snorkeled a few times in the Caribbean, the snorkeling here was the best. I spend most of my time in the water looking at all the fish and coral. A half an hour of that time was spent chasing a single puffer fish, which I finally was able to photograph. It was the first one I ever saw in the ocean. The area here is beautiful, above and below water.

    Oceanworld

  • This is an amazing place, if your not keen on swimming with dolphins then simply purchase admission which is about $60 ($45 child) Do go to sea the Sealion show its great fun and the kids will love it, you can snorkel in the man made reef whilst being surrounded by gorgeous tropical fish, if you wanna swim with Doplhins then your looking at paying $150pp ( $125 pchild) this is a memorable experince and ytou can have it all captured on video, dvd or buy the proffesional photo's If swimming isn't your thing then if you wish you can have an encounter with a dolphin, on this program you simply stand waste deep and get to stroke and feed the dolphin, supervised of course, this costs, $105 pp ($85 pchild) Its a great park to visit with all the family so I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

    Monster Truck Sfari
This is an excellant day out on huge 8 x 8 vehicles, costs for the day about $70 but well worth it, you are taken right into the heart of the Dominican countryside where you see how real Dominicans live, definately take some pens, pencils, colouring books for the kids at the school you visit,, please don't give them money as this encourages them to beg. you'll also visit a farm wher they make cheese, (With their Feet !!!!) It has to be seen to be believed, you stop for lunch at the Monster Truck Ranch which is along side a gorgeous river for about 2 hours, you must go for a swim its so refreshing, on the way back you stop off at the Monster shop to pick up a few bargains too, great day out for all the family, a must do whilst your there.
