Located near the town of Meanguera, a beautiful island where you can see many kind of local and migratory birds, a good place to see frigatebirds, pelicans, and many other varieties of sea birds.

si eres amante de la aventura, del mar, del paseo en lancha, de las playas vìrgenes.. ESTA ES UNA VERDADERA JOYA DEL GOLFO, en la isla de Meanguera .. te puedes ir en lancha hasta una linda playa ecològica, llena de naturaleza... puedes bañarte por horas en sus tranquilas aguas y compartir el hàbitat con los delfines, pelìcanos, tortugas marinas y cangrejitos... un verdadero paraìso.. puedes llevar tu hielera con sodas, cervezas, y pasarla genial con tus amigos sin que nadie te moleste.

The boat (la lancha) ride to Isla Meanguera from La Union costs US$2.50 (one way) and lasts around 2 hours and was my experience of lifetime.

Is a small town on the island of Meanguera del Golfo. I visited the island on a tour through the Gulf of Fonseca. A nice stop, where you can visit the small village with its friendly people. Beautiful...
