Its not exactly in Panchimalco but in the small town of "Los Planes de Renderos". My hometown. anyway, they have great pupusas, nice look off points and breezy evenings. If you go into Panchimalco you will find a great number of pastry shops, a colonial church, arcades and starting August 6th (usually the firts week of August) the festivities begin. Be sure to try everything and not be flashy

Panchimalco is a quaint little colonial village just minutes outside San Salvador, it's spanish mission style church is an excellent example of the colonial archtecture at the time (16th century)....

San Salvador is great and not as it used to be. During the 80s it was occupied by paramilitary forces and was in ruins. The aftermath of the war wasn't so bad, the streets were cleaner and walking...
