A nice little Museum with art by local artists. It looks like it is dominated by temporary exhibits rather than a perminant colection. Make sure you enjoy the garden out front and the resturant looked nice, though formal, as well.

A great Museam with exhibits on Ancient history, the earliest people were there 7,000 years ago or so, to modern religion, economy, and life.The Aztec, Maya, Pipel all left their mark here and you can see their artwork here.

Anyone who is thinking of studying Spanish in Central America should give Antigua a miss and head for CIS (the Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad - Center for Exchange and Solidarity) in San Salvador. They run a spanish school (classes from 8-12 am M-F) and a political cultural program in the afternoons (think its about $120/week). They also run an english school, so if you are interested you can come for a 9 week cycle, teach english 3 nights a week and get half price spanish classes and they throw in the political cultural program for free. CIS can also arrange a homestay for you, for about $60 (US) a week including food. They can also help you find cheaper self-catering accomodation too. The english school students tend to be Salvadorans who work at various NGOs, many of them ex-FMLN combatants, as well as a liberal number of university kids.
