Sea front in Hillsborough, with lovely views over the bay from the front tables. Open from 7.00 am for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Choice of local dishes. Also take-away.
A good place to escape the heat and relax after shopping.
Favorite Dish: You can have a look at the front counter to see what is available. Many people just have a take away but its the view from the open air restaurant at the back you are aiming for.

Address: Hillsborough opposite Ade's supermarket
An ideal spot to enjoy the local food with a fantastic view of Hillsborough and surrounding area.
Shirley, the owner makes you feel right at home and the staff is very friendly.
This hotel/restaurant offers a spotlessly clean surroundings, The pool a compensation to the fact that you are not on a beach but need transport to get there as it is situated on a hill.
Like all most other restaurants on the island you cannot just turn up and expect to eat but have to book in advance for a meal which is quite convenient as you can order ahead before you get there.
Favorite Dish: Fish is a must as it comes really fresh from the sea and it is served with rice, ripe plantains, sweet potatoes, maybe yam and salad. Of course you can have potato chips if you don't fancy rice.

The food is local meaning whatever you order whether its fish, meat or lobster it will always be accompanied with rice and local vegetables. Everthing is fresh from the sea or freshly picked from the garden.
The restaurant is open air with a roof and simple wooden picknick tables.
Every Friday night there is a local steel band playing and this brings the crowd some from the yatchs
which are docked in the bay and a mixture of tourists and locals.
The atmosphere is relaxed and if there is no place in the restaurant the crowd just stands on the street outside and dance to the music of the steel band.
Everyone seem to know each other and if you are new you can just chat to anyone.
Favorite Dish: Lobster grilled. Its the atmosphere which lends to this unique restaurant.

Right on the beach so after a swim in the crystal clear waters you are hungry and ready to devour this ever so tasty fish. Its an ideal place to idle as there are many shady trees and you have a wonderful view of Sandy Island.
Favorite Dish: Fish served with local vegetables like plantains, cassava, breadfruit or sweet potatoes. You can also have chicken with chips I didn't try it but it must be good too.

Charming bar restaurant with local food. I loved the salt fish and bake which is a Caribbean speciality.
Also fresh fruit juices such as sorrel and the five finger fruit (carambola).
The view is magnificent as you sit and sip your drink..
Favorite Dish: Jamaican beef or chicken patties.

It was a birthday celebration so we decided to splurge and have an evening out and made reservations at this fantastic looking restaurant.
We watched the sunset although cloudy still an incredible view of the sea and the islands.
I am sure you eat quite well here but we were not too pleased with the lobster which cost quite a bit.
It probably was not the cooks day because I heard many good reports of this restaurant.
Unfortunately, we were not the lucky ones.
Also there were two big dogs coming into the restaurant from time to time which is inappropriate.
Also on the grounds were dog litter which should have been cleaned up before the guests arrived.
Like I said I would not judge this restaurant by my one and only visit.

You could either sit inside or outside under a wooden shed by the seaside on a simple table and bench accommodation. Tanty Lizzy will cook you fish or chicken with rice and you get a sprinkling of the local vegetables like plantain, cassava, pumpkin, sweet potato spiced with local ingredients.

This was the most tender and flavorful serving of Lamdi or Conch I have ever sampled. Very nice dinning room or have lunch out on the pool deck.

You can't go wrong for lunch or dinner. Have a late lunch and take your time. Stroll down to the water and cool off.
