Foodland: When you need to bunker up
Of all the islands we visited (16-17 different ones) during out 19 days trip it was never so close to a food store as it was in Saint George's. Foodland is located right at the coast line, with just a street between the store and the bay, and with a loading platform just outside where you can pack down everything you have bought into a smaller boat.Foodland isn't a huge store compared to many supermarkets I've seen in Europe, but you'll find most of the things you'll need for your trip. Everything from pasta, biscuites, water, meat, milk, yougurt, canned food and, of course - beer. :)And if they don't have it in the store the staff were very helpful and brought it from the storage.Note, it's not always they have everything in store for you. When we were there the first time they had for example only six big bottles (5 liters) of water left in the whole store, and they had to run off to...
