Tikal: Tikal - Grenada's Gorgeous Gift Shop
by DreamingSpain
Tikal is just sublime. You enter, and it's like being hugged. Every single piece of "merchandise" has a wonderful story to tell. The staff are unobtrusive but helpful to a fault. The prices are fair and reasonable. The goods are heavenly. An absolute MUST.If you can't find it, it's just up the hill from St George's Museum on the same side of the road.
Gifts, post cards, art, clothes, hats, fans and jewellery plus MUCH more
As much or as little as you wish. You MUST bear in mind that Grenada has to pay huge taxes, therefore please don't go there expecting to find something exquisite for 5EC$ - it's unrealistic and unfair to the locals who have to live on an island that must import most of its essentials.Whatever you spend in Tikal, realise that Jean, the owner, is one of the fairest minded, just, honest and decent people you could ever hope to imagine, and that your money will go where it...
