The Yellow Submarine allows to sea the splendor of the undersea world to be viewed without getting wet. Most of the areas around St. Barts are a marine reserve and during the one hour excursion one gets to see a ship wreck which is located directly outside the port of Gustavia and a reef that is just alongside the port entrance. During my tour we saw even several sharks, turtles, rays and lots of tropical fish.

The peak season in this port is in December and January when the super yachts are arriving in St. Barts, including Roman Abramovich's super yachts.

One of the magnificent beaches close to Gustavia is Shell Beach, protected in a sheltered bay washed by the warm azure Caribbean sea. The beach is covered by shells and broken shells and has various secluded coves between large bolders. It is within walking distance to Gustavia and also offers a beach restaurant where one can collect cold beers and wine.
