My friend & I took a boat fm La Marina n Saint Francois to Iles de la Petit Terre (isl. w/ the iguanas.) We got extremely nautious on the way. So if you get sick this may not be the right trip for u. After we got to the isl. (we payed 55 Euros, that's $74 US) we layed down & slept cuz we were so sick. When we got up we went on a walking tour. The tour guide spoke 1 sentence to us in eng & the rest of the time she spoke n french so we couldn't understand. Some french people on the tour noticed this so they tried to translate w/ the small amount of eng. that they knew (which was very nice). The tour guide pointed out some plants & brought us to a light house so it was quite uninteresting. The captain & the other crew did speak eng. to us while we were around them. Alcohol was huge on this trip. We were told before we went that we had all you could drink, any type of drink (alcoholic or non). That is not true. They offered iced tap water & also fruit juice w/ alcohol. After the spiked fruit juice they served alcohol shots w/ brown sugar & lime. They lightheartedly kept offering it to us but we kept declining. The meal was good. It included tomato cous cous & some bbq chicken. Very good & filling & for dessert, grilled bananas. However that too was spiked! So if you love to drink this would be a fun experience for you. The people love to have a good time. If you are not a drinker it's still fun but keep in mind that it's harder to get something to drink w/o alcohol. Also I saw a good amount of iguana's but it was nothing like I imagined. We did get to see a baby shark & hold a sea urchin. There were kayacks & snorkels for use. On the way back others looked through the glass bottom on the boat but we declined cuz we didn't want to get sick. Everyone on that trip was great. A great group. Overall was very good. Just be aware of the things I mentioned. Sea sickness, lack of non alcoholic beverages, no translation for the walking tour, & not tons of iguana's. However the people were wonderful.
Unique Suggestions: Take Dramamine or Boneing.
Bring your own bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages to drink if you're not a drinker.

Guadeloupe is a caribbean paradise

I enjoyed tremendously the typical tropical white, pink and black sand beaches. Beaches at or around St Francois are great but the most beautiful ones are not so far away, at Saint Anne but a bit too...
