The place is very popular for picnics but if you´re lucky it´s possible to mayan rituals, where the indians burn copal, give fruits, grains and alcohol to their gods, and even sacrified small animals like chickens.

The site has a small museum and as in almost all parts of Guatemala, there are handicrafts stalls. The fee entrance is 23 quetzales for tourists (4$).

Bush visited the place in march of 2007, and after that visit mayan priests conducted purifying rites to cleanse the place of bad spirits brought by the president (funny).

Most of the ruins are reconstructed, but the site is well preserved, and it´s sorrounded by beautiful pine tree forests.
