Favorite thing: I know the owners pretty well of that hotel, it's close to the middle of town; the water problem is due to the municipal water is only on for part of the day. I usually stay with family in tecpan but you can't beat the location to the market. President bush stayed there on a tour of Guatemala. I'm pretty much family with just about all the butchers in the city tell them Michael sent you if you need beef. It's very fresh as they kill only a few cows every few days. It could have still been eating grass that morning. The prices are all standard on the meat as most butchers are related just find the one you like the most.
Fondest memory: Too many memories to list one thing you may find very interesting though is there is a tree in Iximche where local people do voodoo type rituals most locals know it or ask an employee there about the "brujeria" tree i'll always remember that also tuk tuks are now very common transport ask for jimmy in town plugging family again lol
