To only way basically to get to Livingston is by water. You can either get the ferry from Puerto Barrios or ask around if somebody might be travelling on a motorboat either to/from Omoa, Honduras, or Belize.

The only way to reach Lívingston is by boat, really. The ferry leaves Puerto Barrios at 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, and they return from Lívingston at 5:00 am and 2:00 pm. The cost is 10 Q. At any other time you could still take the lanchas, speedboats, that leave both Puerto Barrios and Lívingston whenever there is enough people (12), which usually is about every hour or so, for 25 Q.
