OK, so Monte rico isn't a typical beach resort but it is a lot of fun. In order to get to Monte Rico you have to take a dirt road into the village. My only problem was having to help push the vehicle through the sand. You see I did plenty of that while I was in Guate. I would not say I had fun but it was quite an experience. So there you have it, reaching Monte Rico is quite literally on a beaten dirt road. But after all is said and done, I was rewarded with a spectacular sunset.

a couple of miles from Monterrico is Hawaii Beach, less crowded and cleaner...During the night it´s possible to watch turtles...(beacuse there´s almost no lights)
