WE enjoyed walking along the main streets in the evening in Panajachel There are lots of markets with wonderful things to look at and many other people about doing the same thing .
WE always shopped first as the shops close pretty early . Later was fun to pick a restaurant ...some even had music.

Pana or San Pedro? That is the question . . .
Boats don't run at night, so you'll have to make up your mind which town you want to spend your evening in and book a room. Don't expect great nightclubs and wild parties, but Panajachel has a decent selection of good restaurants, a couple dance clubs and a handful of drinking holes. We heard some great live music as the Circus Bar in Pana as seen in the picture below. From what we heard, the scene in San Pedro is pretty laid back, but good. There are a lot of young travelers looking who get together in the bars and sort of create their own parties. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely check it out.

Freedoms is really the only so called nightclub for dancing in San Pedro. It is situated on a hillside overlooking Lago de Atitlan. The atmosphere is very relaxed.
