We stumbled upon this place on our foray into Flores from Santa Elena where we were staying. They serve a great mojito and you can sit at a table with a nice view of the lake. It’s situated such that it looks over the lake towards the west so it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset. At that time the place was pretty quiet but I can imagine that it may be a bit more exciting later in the evening. But while we were there it was nice and relaxing with a good drink, beautiful scenery, and the soft strains of Bob Marley being played on the bar audio system. Life was good!

On Christmas Eve, we wandered the streets of Flores at night and came across old men playing traditional Guatemalan music on traditional instruments--marimba and snare drum. This was not a money making effort, but a celebration of the holiday. The music tradition of the Mayans is now heavily influenced by European and African influences. Other music spots are sometimes available in Flores, but basically this is a pretty quiet little pueblo with romantic restaurants that peer across the water.
