We visited a couple of good shops where the local vendors had very good stock on carved wooden masks (I bought a jaguar one), trinket souvenirs of all sorts, and Mayan woven clothing of varous sorts. My wife bargained for several cotton dresses with embroidered work, while I settled upon a jacket made from colored Mayan cotton. The jacket gets compliments every time I wear it to school.
