I went on a tour to Tikal and Yaxha and it was just awesome! We canoed to an island on a lake with Mayan ruins and rode bikes on jungle trails to another hidden Mayan site where we camped out and it was all just unique and there was no one else in most places we went which made it all extra special!
Equipment: You should be able to arrange this trip by yourself, rent bicycles in Flores, bring your own tent and camping gear, bring food too. I just took a tour with these guys I found on the internet. They were amazing!
