Theres few tings to do in Santa Cruz. Its an isolated village out of the touristic path. It has an interesting church built by the dominicans made from stones of the nearby ruins of Utatlan. I dont know why, but i didnt feel a friendly atmosphere.

Besides the cathedral is located this interesting building also said to have been built with stones of the Utatlan ruins. Sta Cruz is well connected by bus from Chichicastenango and Guatemala city (almost every hour). The road from Chichi to Sta Cruz runs through a pleasant scenery of pine forest and the Lemoa lagoon.
