The Iguana: The hot spot, the only spot

  • This 2 story bar is pretty much the only dance club in Tela, there was another one down the street; but it seemed to be for teenagers. The Honduran beer that is most popular, Salvavida; which is funny because it means life saver! hahaha! The dancing is nice, and i was really impressed because a famous band "Que Sabe" was there that night. They pass through probably once or twice a year, they are pretty famous and even tour in the USA. If you are into Latin dancing, don't worry about being very good. The people are good but not fancy and easy to follow.

    Pretty much whatever you feel to wear seemed to be fine.

  • The nightclubs seem to change rapidly in Tela so I am not sure which place is "in" at the moment. I have seen places come and go over the time I spent in Tela. I suggest that you ask the locals for advice on the good and bad places to go. If all else fails then Telamar has some nice Marimba music on Saturday nights.
